Hockey Strangelove: Loving the Coyotes While Killing Them

I have to say, as a Leaf fan, a Stars fan and an NHL fan, I am intrigued by the whole Phoenix debacle.

For the Record

Again, for the record, despite the frequency with which I kill the Coyotes in the NHL Realignment Project, I would love for them to survive and thrive.

An Outsider's Perspective

Derek Zona's article brings an interesting perspective to how we semi-outsiders might treat the Desert Dogs. It runs under a title that does most of the work by itself: Hockey Strangelove or: How I Learned to Spite the NHL and Love the Coyotes, at The Copper and Blue.

Read It

It is filed under hockey and sports, tagged for the NHL and the Phoenix Coyotes, and it argues the Coyotes case from the outside, which is the perspective an outsider like me needed.

Read it for the hockey. This journal explains how the sport works; it does not predict results and does not sell anything. Where a number is not publicly checkable we say so instead of inventing one.
