Editorial Policy
What we publish, what we refuse to publish, and why.
Our standard
Plain language, named mechanisms, honest limits. If a paragraph could be wrong, it should be checkable — either against a rulebook, a published calendar or a primary source the reader can find without us.
What we do not publish
- Invented statistics, scores, records, contracts or quotes.
- Predictions dressed up as analysis, or “guaranteed” anything.
- Paid links presented as editorial judgement.
- Content aimed at readers under the age of majority in their country.
Sources
We prefer primary material: competition rules, officially published schedules, club and league statements, and the books themselves. Where a claim rests on reporting by others, we describe it as reporting rather than fact and we tell you who reported it.
Independence
Opinion in this journal is labelled as opinion. Nothing on the site should be read as an offer, a recommendation to spend money, or advice of any professional kind. Hockey is a game; it is at its best when treated as one.
